My husband and I love to vacation on cruises. We love cruising the water and being able to see so many places in a short time. Between us, we have probably been on 15 cruises in our lives and have always enjoyed the Norwegian line because of the casual style. However, we just got back from being on the Pearl and I have to say it was by far the worst ship in my opinion. By the fourth day, I was needless to say disappointed in the service overall and had a bad case of cabin fever.

The cabin was nice and spacious - for a cruise ship. The bathroom is small, but that is to be expected on a boat. We had a balcony room which was great and we really enjoyed, especially cruising through Alaska. I highly recommend a balcony room if you cruise through Alaska. The cabin steward was friendly and kept the room in tip-top shape.

Unfortunately, the service level of the ship was not up to par with other ships we have been on. I have never experienced such aloof and inattentive staff.
