1st, the CC comments on Eclipse ARE VERY ACCURATE. Added to that is the personnel: FIRST CLASS! Our C2 room #1401 superb even tho it appeared tiny upon first entrance - NOT! There was tons of room for all our stuff - and I'm a photographer/videographer! The bed comfy. The balcony was roomy - you MUST have a balcony for reading, relaxing, views and photos. The food in the main dining room was decent - score that a 7.5 of 10 points most times - and service about an 8.5. Service personnel, btw, were efficient and fun. Qsine is a "must do" specialty restaurant. Your $45 surcharge will be well spent - GREAT WAIT STAFF! Bars on board very good - most barkeeps VERY friendly and no "grumps" except one dude at the "ice bar" one time (must've had a bad day!) The lawn up top still cracks me up! We've traveled Eclipse before and still marvel at a grass lawn whilst cruising on the sea. Great for picnics! We hit some rough weather - cat 7 stuff - but the ship handled it well w/o mal de mer for we two. The port stops were a first for us: Bermuda, Azores, Portugal - Sintra a "must see" btw, Spain - Bilbao & Basque country a very pleasant surprise (very scenic), France - Le Havre and the Normandy countryside beautiful AND the folks ARE FRIENDLY (despite what you might've heard about the French), and lastly Southampton. GREAT STOPS, ALL. In sum: Eclipse is a marvelous boat and we look forward to sailing on her again.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Roomy enough for two people with 2 bags each + photo/video gear. Comfy bed - the linens/pillows allow for excellent sleep. Lighting could be a little better AND the minimal amount of clothes hooks needs improvement. Balcony is roomy and perfect for views and photography/videography. Shower is like a water closet - if you're a BIG person, you ain't gonna like it! Otherwise, bathroom is roomy enough for your cosmetics, etc.
