We were on the Royal Princess from July 8 – July 20 for the British Isles cruise. Before writing this review I read other reviews on this site about the same cruise. While I understand that unhappy people are more likely to write reviews, it seemed that some of the reviewers could not have been on the same cruise we experienced.
This was our fifteenth cruise overall, the eleventh on Princess. We’ve also been on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Oceania. This cruise far exceeded our expectations, surpassed only by the 12-day Grand Mediterranean cruise we took on Ruby Princess several years ago. Of course, the destinations were the determining factor in that ranking since we have experienced excellence on all the Princess ships we have been on.
One thing that has always been and always will be true is that the world and its human inhabitants are not perfect; therefore, there will from time to time be glitches. When you encounter a situation that’s maybe less than perfect, whether on a cruise or anywhere else in life, deal with it as you can, roll with the punch, and keep a positive attitude. You can choose to let something totally ruin things, or you can choose to have a great time in spite of whatever may have happened. Being happy can be a conscious decision, just as being unhappy can.
Great cabin with an ideal location on the ship. Spacious, large bathroom. Tub with shower. Very comfortable bed.
