Went on spring break trip with wife and 3 teenage girls. We stayed in connecting balcony rooms 1390 and 1392. Right under the windjammer overhang. I was really worried about this at first but was a non issue. The rooms were big and sharing the balconies made them even better.
We arrived at Port Everglades dropped off luggage, I parked and met up with family and went right thru embarkation process. In no time had first of many drinks with ultimate beverage and royal replenish packages. We headed to windjammer for quick lunch and then hit the pool before muster. People definitely like to wait til last minute to attend.
The wife and I hit all the shows each night. The ice show is as good as promised a little slow at first, but really strong ending. Comedian funny which is good thing to be as a comedian. There was a cover band that was great with songs you could sing to. The cirque like show I can't remeber the name was good but not that special. Saturday night fever is a can't miss show. Love and marriage funny. Quest must see for a first time cruiser like me, seems to be a cruise tradition. I even did the belly flop competition, there's a lot of people watching and apparently the pressure got to me. But very fun. The casino took my money as quick as every other casino I went to.
We had connecting balcony rooms 1390 and 1392. The expanded balcony a plus. Not sure I would get door connecting rooms opened. Room steward unlocks both. Would like to lock teenage daughters out of room sometimes, lol. Directly under windjammer overhang, I was really worried about this pre-cruise but was not even noticed. I never heard any noise when sleeping or during the day.
