Sat December 20th -Fort Lauderdale

My wife and our two teenage boys arrived at the port at 11am. The Statendam was docked all by it's lonesome on pier 29. I dropped everyone off and then drove to the parking garage and took the free shuttle back (this took all of 10 minutes) embarkation was a breeze and we were in the Lido at 11:30.

The ship was absolutely beautiful, all decorated for xmas tastefully but not overdone. We sailed on the Veendam this summer and I had no complaints about the ship at all (and still don't) however I found the Staendam to be much prettier and in much better condition.
