Firstly, although we have many days on SS this was our first TA. Now, bear in mind that we love sea days and often stay aboard at destinations, we were never going to be fazed by over a week's worth of sea days between Bermuda and Portugal and were secretly quite pleased that a storm North of our route kept us well South of the intended Azores stop.

We boarded just after noon and took advantage of the buffet in La Terraza. As usual, the boarding procedure was smooth and stress-free and by the time we had finished lunch the cabin was ready. Our luggage arrived probably half an hour after we had been introduced to the cabin, the butler and the room attendant. They had already stocked the mini-bar and bathroom with our usual choices of drinks/products as requested by us in an email to SS a couple of weeks before sailing. Good attention to detail there.
