I was not impressed on many levels with this ship. This was our 3rd carnival cruise and the worst one we've been on. The service was average. I don't feel they went above and beyond in any area besides learning our names for dinner and the pool drink person at night. The ship was older and had a lot of rust in places especially the balconies. The food selection wasn't good at all. I had a hard time finding things that I like on the lunch menu on the lido desk as well as the dinners in the dining room. I felt like our dinners were very rushed and when we asked for something it was a bother. They do this day in and day out, but we don't. Our waiter was great thought, but felt like we bothered him if we needed anything extra though. The lido deck lunches were not very good. They had a lot of weird menu items and was hard to find something we would eat. We aren't that picky. If you wanted a hamburger, we had to wait in the HOT weather outside for at least 20 minutes sometimes longer to get it. The hamburgers should already be made and ready to go instead of them cooking it for each person as they order. It was frustrating. I wish the buffets would be open later till around 11 so that you can get some food as you watched the movie outside on the lido deck around 9pm. There wasn't any food unless you wanted to stand in line for 30 minutes to get some pizza. The pizza place is by the adult only pool area as well. The beds weren't very comfortable. They were very hard. On the pool deck there are many levels, sometimes the pool was very crowded and we had to get a seat up on top. The people coming around to sell drinks do not go up that high. We had to wave them down to come up there. I did do an extra tip to show that I appreciated it. They didn't seem to be happy about that at all that I tipped them extra. I felt like the entertainment was horrible. We had one show the whole 7 day cruise which was on the first night. What happened to the shows after dinner each and every night? We had some comedy shows throughout the week, but that was it. The kids club was boring for my 6 year old who is very easily entertained. He went for a total of 3 hours the whole 7 days. He said it was boring and nothing to do, said it was like daycare. They should have had non stop activities for the kids not just playing in the room. I received the schedule for the week and there wasn't much going on to take him to. I think this was our very last carnival cruise, they kept getting worse (this was our 3rd) Our first was Royal Caribbean and nothing can compare to the service. Yes you pay more, but it's worth it. Goodbye carnival..

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8D

The cabin was average, what you would expect on a cruise. I did love having the balcony room though. It was great to be able to dry out your wet clothes each day. There was alot of rust on the floor of them though. You didn't want to put your feet too close the glass b/c that's where the rust was. Very small bathroom, but that's to be expected on a cruise.

Port Reviews

Belize City

This was a terrible port/island. The tender out to the island was fine, but once we got off the boat onto the port, it was horrible. Not pretty at all and very rundown and poor. The people selling stuff at the port were so pushy on you buying stuff. It was very dirty. We stayed for 20 minutes and came back to the ship.
