We were a familiy travelling from Venice to Istanbul july 2015. 2 adults, four children from eight to fifteen years of age. The children loved the cruise, but not the sightseeing. We adults thought it was OK, but we will never go on a cruise againt.
The Food was OK, but there were people everywhere and therefore very noisy everywhere. The area around the pool was crowded, VERY noisy - and did not have enough room for all the passangers. There was loud music all day by the pool and always activities. My eight year old son said that he got a headache when staying by the pool, so he did not want to go there much. The pools was like sticking too many people in a bath tub. Very salty water. I got myself some earplugs - then I could stay by the pool. Hawaianas are a must - because the deck is too hot to walk on in the sun.
The children loved to be able to order drinks, milkshakes and icecream all day. We had bought a drink-package.
One waiter stole my husbands phone and hid it. Luckily one of the other passengers saw her. They did not speak English very well and often misunderstood us. The cleaning lady did a great job. They all looked like they were trained to give service, but few seemed to like their job. The waiter at our table was in a bad mood all week and the often gave us drinks we did not order. The Entertainment team seemed to love their jobs. But we did not participate in marengue dancing lessons in bikinis and swimsuits in front of all the other passengers by the pool while the speakers tried to destroy our ears.....
