New to Cruise Critic-found the reviews helpful so I wanted to give back by posting my own.

There were 5 of traveling, Myself (42), DW (43), DD (20), DS (15) and my father (72). My father is an avid cruiser, this was our family's second cruise, not counting our honeymoon 21 years ago. Last year we went on the Norwegian Gem and enjoyed the experience so much that we scrimped and saved to cruise again this year.

We flew into Fort Lauderdale on Thursday and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on 17th Street. The hotel was clean and had a free hot breakfast every morning. I definitely would go back there. We used Quick Shuttle to get us to Miami on Saturday. they were on time and would definitely use them again.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MX

Three of us were in cabin 11836, a mini suite balcony, and the other 2 were around the corner in 11659, an inside cabin. The mini-suite was definitely smaller than the balcony cabin on the Gem and the balcony was small. The inside cabin seemed about the same as the Gem was. OK for 2 but not so sure about more than that even though there was a pull down.
