First, thanks to all the folks on this forum who took the time to answer my questions and provide advice. We just completed the Seward to Vancouver Alaska cruise on the Celebrity Millennium. This was our first cruise on Celebrity, and for me and our son, just our second cruise. I read a lot of reviews on this forum prior to booking, and most of them proved to be very accurate. Embarkation and disembarkation were easy and without incident. The ship was very clean. As we entered any restaurant, the casino, or just about any other venue on the ship there was either a person with hand sanitizer or an automated hand sanitizer. The service was outstanding. I cannot think of a single interaction with any of the crew or staff where they were not pleasant and offered assistance. I don't think I can overstate how good the service was. The food was also very good. We ate in almost all of the possible restaurants, including the buffet, and did not have a bad meal. The restaurant we used for dinner most nights (Luminae) was exceptional. We purchased four excursions through Celebrity. We chose not to take one of them due to weather. The other three were well done. We got very lucky with the weather on all but one day and really enjoyed each excursion. I suspect it would be pretty easy to schedule the excursions on your own but we decided to lower any risk with the excursions by booking through Celebrity. I would do it again - not sure if we would have saved any $$, but the arrangements were easy and everything went very smoothly. Our cabins were great - one Royal Suite and one Sky Suite. Always clean and provided plenty of room for our needs. In summary we loved Alaska and for us a combination of a couple days in Anchorage to see the bears at Brooks Falls and take the train to Seward, plus a week on the cruise was a perfect way for us to see a lot of things in 9 days. I would definitely book with Celebrity again if we choose to cruise in the future. One last note - there were a number of comments about how the Millennium is showing its age. I would agree that there are parts of the ship that show a bit of age. However, the carpet throughout was clean and no stains or wear that we could see. In my opinion the "aging" of the Millennium is minimal, and did not impact us at all. I would not hesitate to sail on that ship again.

Cabin Review

Royal Suite

Clean, spacious. Balcony was roomy and we were very glad to have it numerous times during the cruise.

Port Reviews

Seward

Got off the train about 11, went to the Sea Life Center. Mixed reaction - my wife liked it, our son and I thought it was just ok. Seward has a free city shuttle (school bus) that takes you all over downtown.
