Twenty two friends and relatives taking a cruise together can only be a fun time!
Overall the ship was fine. It is an older ship that they are replacing in October I believe of this year. The staff was friendly and helpful. The safety drill was long and drawn out and tedious and not at all practical if there were an emergency on the ship. We didn't put on the life vest and make our way on deck like I had on previous trips on other ships so it was strange. I kept thinking most of the passengers won't have a clue if something really bad were to happen.
The accommodations were good with the usual linens and decorations but could have been cleaner in the bathroom. I kept wanting to wipe all the walls of my bathroom down, they had hair spray spots (I hope that's what they were) from previous guests. Our stewards were very nice and accommodating.
Charleston is always a lovely place to visit! Just slow down, soak in the sun and enjoy the history, dining and shopping it has to offer.
Lucaya marketplace is filled with trinkets and tshirts. It would have been nice to have more handcrafted items but the people were friendly and the weather was nice. The restaurant on the front of the shopping area was great to visit on the way back to the ship. Senor Frogs at the actual port was a very fun place to be!
The beach on Atlantis was very nice and fun to visit. You have to be careful with the cab fares though, they vary greatly in price.
