I just have to say that we had a great time on the Solstice. Keep in mind that everyone has such different ideas and tastes that I suppose you just cant please all of the people all of the time. But Celebrity did a great job as far as we were concerned. There was nothing so upsetting or memorably bad enough to talk about here. As far as the age group, we barely saw anyone under the age of 40, maybe even 50. But we were told the week before had over 500 kids onboard, so I suppose you wont know until you get there.

We found the overall experience on the boat to be very relaxing, laid back, and romantic. This is NOT a party ship. So don't come here looking for that. There are not a lot of activities aimed at a very young, energetic crowd. No loud parties poolside, the clubs were somewhat sedate on our trip (although I think that was because there was a lack of young people on the boat, again I heard that it was a different story the week before.) My husband and I enjoyed the slow and quieter pace of the shipboard activities. We LOVED the hot glass show and watched it several times. Those people are AMAZING artists and it was a pleasure to watch them do what they love. There is a lack of sporting activities, at least my husband couldn't really find much going on. The pool is VERY crowded and if you aren't up there early you will NOT have a chair. On sea days I sadly had to go without or wait until later in the afternoon when the sun was starting to fade and then I no longer cared to be out there. But I refused to get out of bed early on my vacation so that was my choice! The lawn is nice in my opinion, it was pretty and gave a certain atmosphere that was very relaxing...however I suppose in the interest of making more room for deck chairs I would have to say that maybe they should forgo the grass next time.

All of the musical entertainment was great. The shows were fabulous. Anyone who says that the Cirque de Soleil show was cheesy or not that great is a MORON! I have been to Cirque and would have to say that they are right on par, and with limited space on a moving BOAT to boot! We finally made it up late enough to see the comedian and he was funny, but please don't let your teens go to this show! There were 14 yr olds in there with no parent in sight....it was highly inappropriate for their age! But they were warned before the show started.
