Our first and probably last time on Royal Caribbean if the Legend is typical. This has got to be the worst cruise ship we've been on in at least 15 years. The organisation and planning on board was dreadful with queues for absolutely everything. The tender process was a prime example of bad management. Even changing money at Customer reception was a big deal, having 3 visits to get someone who knew what to do.
Food was mediocre at best and reminded me of school meals. Cabins were tired and way past their best, the exterior of the ship was old, rusty looking and untidy and the casino is a no go area for non-smokers! There are ridiculous signs on certain gaming machines that tell you they are 'non-smoking machines' but I've never yet come across smoke that knows where it's supposed to stay! It didn't help that some smokers completely ignored requests to respect other cruisers.
In fairness the shows were of reasonable standard and cabin staff absolutely lovely but that is the very least you should expect. The majority of cruisers we spoke to had similar issues and those who felt it was ok also admitted that the pricing should have reflected the 'lower' standard.
Tired and dated. Lumps and bumps in furniture, very small balcony.
Liked Singapore. Lots to see and do and the Orchid Gardens are beautiful.
