We left Seattle on a sunny and hot Saturday afternoon. You'd have thought it was a Caribbean Cruise with the action out on the hot pool deck. Everyone was having a nice time. Let me level set by saying me and my wife (mid 40's) were on vacation with her parents (early 70's)

This was my second cruise and my first with NCL. One thing I noticed right off the bat was how clean it was and how much the staff wanted us to be clean (at least our hands). We were spritzed all week with hand sanitizer and frankly, I was grateful for that. (also it's worthy of mention that my hands didn't get dry at all from it)

I had a balcony stateroom and I highly recommend it if it's doable. Room 9046 was kept well with a little wear and tear on the edges of our tiny table and such. There was plenty of room to stash our huge suitcases under the bed and room for all of our clothes in the closet/drawers/cubbies. I ADORE that NCL is a tick more casual than other cruise and I was completely comfortable in the dining room with jeans, sneakers and a polo or oxford shirt. There were people wearing less than I but everyone kept it fairly classy. (no bathing suits, no hats).
