We sailed on a family cruise with our adult children. This was our 5th cruise on Carnival. Flew into Ft. Lauderdale day before the cruise (well worth it to get there a day early) and stayed at the Sleep inn & Suites in Dania Beach. The Hotel shuttle driver picked us up at the airport and he sang us Bob Marley songs all the way back to the Hotel, he was awesome. We had an early flight so we called ahead to have our room ready and when we arrived they has us all set. There is a Walgreens next door and and Publix down the street. We got some last minute cruise needs as well as a 12 pack then sat by the Hotel Pool and relaxed. Hotel had good continental breakfast and then QLS Transportation picked us up for the ride to Miami Port. This was out third stay at Sleep Inn and it is a very nice quiet place to stay, staff very courteous. Also third time we used QLS and they are an excellent service.

Embarkation: We arrived at Miami Port early and the service from the carnival staff was excellent. The wait to board was held up slightly as the ship arrived a little late but we were on the ship and having a drink at the red frog bar by 12:30. The amazing part was that we have sailed the Breeze and other carnival ships before and the bar waiter Dr. "P" recognized us from a previous cruise. He was amazing and took care of us the rest of the cruise.

Rooms: We had balcony cabins on the 8th floor and they were very nice. Our steward was Sudamono or "Mo" as he wanted to be called. He was excellent one of the best we have ever had on a cruise. Balcony cabins are worth the extra especially at night when you want to relax or on Port days so you can check out all the action in port from your room. Read more
