There is so much squandered potential for this cruise. The ship is in great shape, the crew works hard and Bermuda is an excellent destination. But NCL has allowed this cruise to be mediocre at best while chasing the almighty buck. They left their people in a position to fail, not succeed. This was our second cruise on NCL, sixth overall. We had a mini-suite and the beverage package. We are a couple in our late 30s/early 40s and there were no kids with us so I can’t comment on the kids’ entertainment.
Embarkation was easy. Our arrival time at the pier was set for 10:30am. We breezed through security and check-in. Boarding started at 11:15 and we were onboard by 11:30. A word of warning; arrive at your pier time or later. The group of six in front of us had a pier time of 12:30 and were sent away and told to come back then.
Our mini-suite was very good, clean and roomy. Our steward was on top of everything. My only complaint was just one electrical outlet in the entire room. However, the mini-suite seems to be nothing more than a stretched balcony room so it’s a better value for 3 or more people. A couple would be fine in a cheaper balcony room. The ship overall is in great shape for it’s age. It’s kept clean and maintained well by the crew. The decor is dated in places but that isn’t a concern of mine.
