Let me put this out there, I am a 22 year old female from NYC, therefore cruising is very convenient for myself. I have been on 7 cruises (including the Breakaway). I have sailed on the NCL Dawn and Gem, Carnival Splendor, Miracle and Glory and finally the Holland America Veendam.

I decided to take go on the Breakaway with my boyfriend and his family (we were a group of 20). 16 of the 20 people in our group have sailed Royal Caribbean and 3 were first time cruisers. As you can see, all 20 of us had very high expectations for the Breakaway. Also an add on information, we all had the UBP!!

The Check in process was not bad at all. From getting off our party bus that we took to the pier, to actually getting on the ship took all of an hour. We went on the line the non-vip members were on.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BX

the room was the perfect size. We had enough room for all of our belongings with a lot more room to spare!! The balcony was very small but we used the balcony more to dry our bathing suits and cover ups. Our room steward was okay. He wasnt the best yet he wasnt the worst. The towels that were in the room were very scarce. Also, our air conditioning didnt work for the first two days. After complaining nonstop for two days it was finally fixed. The maintance staff blamed us for not locking the balcony door but my boyfriend checked and saw they replaces the sensor that activates the AC when the balcony door is closed. Smooth move NCL!!!
