The Queen Isabel was a very comfortable vessel. Service was extraordinary, friendly, efficient and caring. Meals were well prepared. Highlight was the beautiful Douro River, its twists and turns, and the lush hills alongside the river. We visited numerous qui tas, or wineries, eash with its own flair. Tour guides were fun and informative, and always very helpful. Porto, the final stop on the cruise was a somewhat faded, but thoroughly charming city.
The boat, though very nice is not perfectly maintained. In our cabin, #309, one of the blinds would not close, was like that all week, despite requests to fix it. Twice during the week one of the main entrance exit doors to the upper deck was out of order. The restroom outside the dining room was not as clean as it should be. None of these were real problems, but they were noticed.
Again, the servers, housekeepers, front desk staff and tour guides and drivers were wonderful.
Very nice , not perfectly maintained. See above.
