Hi everyone this is my first attempt at posting a message. My name is Hugh & my wife's name is Sheila. We are cruise fanatics and have cruised with Royal Caribbean,Celebrity,P & O and Princess. This cruise to the fjords was a 50th wedding cruise for my brother and sister in law. When we arrived at the port they were amazed at the size of the ship and were even more gobsmacked once on board.Sheila and my self were going to make their first cruise special so before departure with the assistance of the cabin steward we distracted them long enough to decorate their cabin with balloons, banners, confetti and champagne chilling on ice. After muster we guide them to their cabin and what a wonderful surprise they got (bringing tears to all our eyes) it was fantastic. The cruise itself was brilliant we visited Brugge,Copenhagen,Helsingborg (due to rough seas the captain decided not to use the tenders so unfortunately we missed this port) and Oslo was the final stop before heading back to Southampton. We must have done something or even everything right because they want us to plan their next cruise for 2016.Just before I log out Sheila and I are cruising from Southampton on the 5th of September on Caribbean Princess 16 night Trans Alantic finishing in New York are there any cruise critic members doing the same itinerary. We would love to meet other members and cruise fanatics.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin IA

Cabin was excellent and very large with 2 full size wardrobes.Only one downside there wasn't any tea or coffee making facilities which we tend to expect.

Port Reviews

Brugge (Bruges)

Brugge is beautiful the people are so friendly it would be great for a short break of 3 or 4 nights. We take a taxi there and back it's so much easier and gives you more time for sight seeing. It's 50 euros each way and we always give a 5euro tip. It's more expensive if it's only for two but there is always other cruisers who are happy to share the taxi with you

Copenhagen

Excellent. We took local bus to the carlsberg museum which is about a 30 minute journey with one bus change. On the way back we got of the bus at Nyhaven and took a canal trip to see the little mermaid then we walked back along the promenade to the ship( another great day)

Oslo

Excellent. We took the open top bus tour which is quite expensive.Great with lots of museum to visit but due to the torrential rain and bitter cold we were relieved to get back to ship.Maybe the weather will be kinder to us if we are able to return in the future
