my wife and I wanted to celebrate this special anniversary in a grand fashion. Viking River a Cruises Grand European Tour looked to be just the answer. The choice was absolutely correct. Starting with a 2 day extension in Amsterdam and ending with a 3 day extension in Prague, we could have not been more pleased. INGVI is a beautiful vessel and the staff could not be better. As this was our first river cruise we were pleased with the closeness achieved with other passengers and the crew. Christine Couper was fantastic as Program Director. She maintained the programs regardless of the problems which materialized. Every crew member demonstrated such positive attitudes. There was nothing which they would not do to be sure the passenger was happy. Meals prepared under the direction of Denes Sookey were amazing. Michael Logtenberg the hotel manager was involved in everything necessary to keep things running smoothly, even to the point that one day I saw him loading supply's on board. You might see that I was impressed with the crew. As a manager for many years I know how important motivated personnel are. It is clear that Viking recognizes and accomplishes that result. I was also impressed with the high quality of the shore tour programs. Tour guides were professionals knowledgable of the venue and it's history. They related this to the passengers in a manner which was educational, personal, and with personality. Thanks to all for making this a trip to remember.
