Ship was in excellent repair and well constructed. Ship was kept very clean and esthetically pleasing. Food was excellent. The service every where (excepting the casino) was beyond reproach. The staff was consistently of the opinion that the customer is always right and we will make it right with the customer. Who ever is training these service people is getting it right. On the other side of the coin (way on the other side of the coin) was the service in the casino. They had around one third of the number of drink service people to provide adequate service. If you had a "free drinks" card the servers had to look at your card, then take your room key to document the transaction on their computer. Some of the servers had a hand held reader which often didn't work. Most of the time the servers took your room card to the bar tender who had a better card reader. The bar tender in the casino was often working alone and was the busiest person on the ship. I give him credit for doing a job few people could do. The problem he had was preparing so many drinks and coordinating the room charges with the drink orders. He was preparing more drinks than could reasonably be expected of two people. Feature two servers bringing in eight orders each, with cards, in the face of 5-10 people at the bar waving their cards. It was obviously difficult to keep straight what card went with which drink. My room card got lost on one occasion. The servers were very unhappy with the system. Getting a drink in the casino was often a real frustrating ordeal. The only other objectionable thing I found on the ship was an automatic 18% add-on charge for already high priced drinks. Overall a great experience if you don't spend much time in the casino.
