This was our 4th cruise on RCI and I am ready to try another cruise line. RCI seems to have lowered its standards just to get people to cruise.
There were 10 of us on this trip ranging from age 18 to 90. We would often go to the card room late at night to play cards or board games. Several nights we had to deal with loud, rude, inconsiderate and foul mouth table of young people,( many who were minors because others at the table had to purchase cocktails for them) playing drinking games.
A few in the group were old enough to purchase drinks, but don't believe you can't share drink packages, as these few bought drinks every 5-10 minutes for all the minors in the group from the bar next to the card room. Apparently no one in the bar thought it was unusual for a handful of people to buy 5-10 drinks within 5 minutes.
Front of ship overlooking helipad. Seemed to experience more movement in this cabin but it is a bit bigger than previous cabins we stayed in.
View is not as great as in a regular Oceanview.
Just went to beach. $90 to get 3 people to beach from port and then more for beach chair...Probably would love parts of Jamaica but will never go back on a cruise ship...just too crowded. Beach is beautiful though. Get a postcard instead of spending the $
Just went to shops off ship. Had visited Mayan Ruins before and the ones on this excursion took the entire day so opted to get some "adult" time at the pools and hot tubs on the ship since it was less crowded. Shops off of terminal are not much. Eveyrone Very Very pushy...for jewelry and goods. By the time you have hit this port, most people are really done with the "push on the tourists" and just want to be left alone to browse, but hey, that's what you get when your income is only from the cruise lines...and NO, I don't want my picture taken with a cowboy.
Just did beach....VERY crowded. Lines for the lunch they provided that took 20+ minutes to stand in. Like sardines...not impressed.
And NO, I don't want my picture taken with a guy dressed up like a dolphin.
Really just got to port and had dinner. Resort at the Port is HUGE and Okay, basically because you get parking the week you are on the ship included in the cost...SEE PORT CANAVERAL on your own a few days before you cruise. Great space museum there...Don't pay cruise line or excursion prices to see what you want.
