This was our first cruise. We were a family group of 5 comprising my husband, 2 teenage daughters and my mum who is 70. This cruise was fantastic. I cannot rate it highly enough. We chose 2 x side by side balcony suites on the Fantastica package. We were able to connect the balconies to allow us dual access between rooms which was a fantastic bonus as we spent quite a bit of time in our rooms enjoying our company and the amazing views of the Medeterranean. We had the loveliest house attendant and the staff in the restaurant were just beautiful. Always happy and so very accommodating. The Allegrissmo package was so good. The drinks on offer were extensive and presented beautifully. I especially loved walking on the decks and the casual feel of the Lord Nelson Pub. Piano lounge was pretty cool too. Yeah the food was occasionally a little on the average side but the rest of the experience totally eclipsed any small nuances we may have felt. Duty free shopping was surprisingly good. From the review I had read I was to going to go near the shops but I ended up spending around €200 and was delighted with my purchases. Really good value. My one wish is that we could've stayed in some of the ports longer. 5 hours in Santorini just wasn't enough for me. What a place! But on the flip side, we then gone to explore Mykonos in the evening. Another suggestion, have a dedicated TV station explaining the current location of the ship and the significance of the country. Would've been great for us as complete foreigners to Europe. All in all, I would recommend MSC to anyone and everyone. It was excellent value for money, the staff are just gorgeous, the ports of call fascinating, food is plentiful and varied and lounge areas relaxing and comfortable. I am madly saving it my next cruise

The cabin was fantastic. We had a walk in robe, loads of cupboard space and a bathroom with a bath. Balcony had heaps of room and the furniture and fittings were lovely
