For my mom's 85th birthday, my two sisters and I decided to take her on a two day cruise to the Bahamas. Since my sister had been on this ship before and loved it, we booked our trip with them. Upon arrival at the terminal we were greeted by staff that were genuinely excited and happy to take care of us. My mother had a slight stroke recently, and although she usually uses a walker, we had her in a wheelchair so she wouldn't have to walk as far. Once we checked in, an assistant graciously helped us push my mom not only into the cruise ship, but all the way to the buffet deck and seated her at a comfortable table. During this short journey, we felt like we had found a lost friend. This was just the beginning of an incredible time. Every staff member we came in contact with was amazing, going out of their way to cater to our every need. People somehow found out quickly that it was mom's birthday and treated her like a queen! Her cabin steward made two swans into a heart from the towels and had a special b-day message waiting for her when we arrived. The servers at dinner serenaded her, gave her a small cake and took time to talk to us and made her feel so special, it brought tears to each of us.

The ship itself was perfect. They have first class entertainment, fun contests, great bars and night clubs and so much to do that it was hard to choose. I loved the variety show for it included amazing dancers, a hilarious comedian, a great magician, and unbelievable couple doing all kinds of impossible feats. We made sure to go back the second night as well.

On Friday morning we arrived at Freeport in the Bahamas and spent time at the local market as well as Senior Frogs - this was lots of fun. We only spent a few hours in port and were back on the ship for lunch. I have to say all the food I had was delicious and well prepared! As we relaxed by the pool deck afterwards, a staff member that had served us the day before saw us and had even remembered our names and once again wished mom a happy birthday and gave her a big hug. It was so nice to feel loved by everyone we met.

Cabin Review

Cabin Inside cabin

Each of our cabins were great. I have been on much bigger ships and hardly have room to turn around but this ship has lovely big cabins with nice sized bathrooms (and we didn't even have a handicapped room). Our cabin steward was so friendly and went out of his way to help us. On the second day, the commode wouldn't flush completely and as we went to breakfast, I let our steward know. By the time we returned from breakfast it was fixed. The mattresses were very comfortable and towel art waiting for us was a sweet touch.

Port Reviews

Palm Beach

Wonderful staff and a quick check in. My mom was in a wheelchair and was escorted all the way into the cruise ship up to the dining deck to a table for lunch. They treated us like friends the entire time.
