We wanted a relaxing break with no fuss and good service and that's what we got. The Magellan may not have the panache and facilities of many more modern and larger ships but if you want a more intimate traditional cruise that is good value then this was hard to beat.

The food was fine and they accommodated Gluten free dietary needs very well which was a big plus. The buffet restaurant was probably average by other standards but the Kensington and Waldorf restaurants were excellent.

We had an inside cabin which was roomy, clean and modern.
