The Thomson Celebration is a well equipped ship. It is not the newest Ship in the world but with the right itinerary it is perfect for the cruiser on a tight budget.

Overall the ship is in a good maintained condition but it is a bit dated compared to some of the other cruise ships with other companies. Thats said, the staff on board were much better and more attentive than I have experienced on other ships. They quite simply could not do enough for you and were always happy to help.

The food on board at the Meridian restaurant, which is the main dining area (waiter service breakfast, lunch and dinner), was of a high standard with a good variety on each daily menu. There are 3 premium pay restaurant, which we opted for, but to be honest there is no need as the main restaurant is that good. I did enjoy my steak at the hot stone experience though, Tip! We also used the self service restaurant and the terrace grill throughout the day and again there was a good selection. The terrace grill didn't look to inviting with the burgers and pizza as it look as though everything had been sitting for quite some time and when we tried the burgers on one occasion it was warm at best so never tried again.

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite

As the cabin was a suite it was really quite spacious and comfortable. Toilet was a bit cramped but I would say you should probably expect that on board the ship.
