Our first cruise ever started off with a 3 1/2 hour wait to board thanks to a power outage in long beach that carnival had no idea how to manage around. We were herded like cattle from one never ending line to another. During this time staff were rude and unhelpful. Once on board the majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful although dining staff were rather unknowledgeable. Long lines plage this ship every step of the way. The cruise ship is older and showing its age due to a lack of upkeep and cleaning. Rooms were small and comfortable but the bathroom had some rust on the stainless around the shower. TC in the piano bar is fun to watch as well as the comedians. We couldn't see a dance show due to technical difficulties shutting it down. Security staff on reboarding after excursions are rude and continue with the tradition of herding people like cattle. Biggest disappointment was when we took a tour of the behind the scenes we were looking forward to meeting the captain. He turned out to be a rather grumpy person who clearly didn't want anything to do with the passengers. Overall do this cruise if you can get it cheap and go with very small expectations.
Small and had an extra firm bed but we still found it easy to sleep on. There was some rust in the bathrooms.
Fun little town. We booked an excursion through a 3rd party excursion company and it worked out great.
