Seemed very understaffed, staff in specialty restaurants not happy, seemed annoyed with their job. No personality. Breakfast after 9am could only go to the buffet or O'Sheehans both adequate at best. Lunch was pretty much over by 2 pm, and then again only place to eat was O'Sheehans which again was adequate at best. They had a raw bar and a sushi place that was only open from 5:30 to 10:00. They were both al a carte, why would they not be open all day to cater for late lunch and late night dining. After 10 pm it was only buffet till 11 pm or O'Sheehans again, give me break with O'Sheehans, same menu day in and day out and again food was adequate at best. The boat had a special section called vibe only 75 people got tickets to the area, at $75.00 a head, great concept, poor planning. It was on the upper deck, had a separate bar which was great, had a guaranteed chair, which again was great. NO POOL!!!!!!!! 2 hot tubs, what a joke.... So you bake in the sun a refresh by going in a HOT TUB. C'mon now...... H2O section, adults only was free area, chairs were packed in like a tour bus, had 2 hot tubs and a very nice water fall section with a 2 foot pool, but was refreshing to sit at and great for cooling off. They should change the Vibe and the H2O sections, take some chairs out of the H2O area, put up some umbrellas and make that the new Vibe, and charge 250.00 per couple and limit it to 150 people, would be huge hit. Specialty restaurants were excellent food wise and drink wise the staff in some of the places left a little to be desired. Rock of Ages was superb and a fantastic show to see. Cirque dinner show was excellent also. Casino was a little too spaced out took me 3 days to realize there was another whole side to the casino. Shopping was not bad but again spaced out all over the floor, should have more of a promenade area. They need more places that have lunch and late night dining, ie sushi and raw bar places, and maybe add an all night pizza place. The pool was also very small for a 5000 person cruise, it was jammed packed could not even get near the water and the bar in the pool area was 3 or 4 deep all day long. Sorry to say I was disappointed with the Breakaway. We did the Star or Dawn to Bermuda 2 years ago and the ship was much better set up and a lot more friendly. I have now done 2 Carnival 2 Royal Caribbean and 2 Norwegian cruises and feel comfortable in saying it's back to Royal Caribbean for the next one for me....... They get my vote.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin was nice size and set up very well, closet and draw space was excellent, should have better selection of channels on free TV.... No sports other than soccer.
