I have cruised many times and it's always been fantastic .Please think twice before booking on this ship . Ok our choice of price to pay for cabin (£8000) what did we get for this : chose 4 July as our sail date presumed American ship gonna be big sail party with drinks music entertainment - nothing not even a flag . No waiter service around pool decks so queued 8 deep at the bars . First night dining food was coming out Luke warm and prawns still frozen . Next night all dressed in formal attire for the Grand ,food bland and cold so sat eating shepherds pie . Another night in silk Indian restaurant food the same ,so mentioned this to manager. Patience only goes so far. For the rest of the two weeks on ship had to pay the supplement to eat a decent meal with good service ,felt that for a 5 star ship this was inadequate. Technology on ship did not work ie the royal iq app for booking shows and dining venues , buttons in lift , sea passes and wrist bands to enter cabins even the bionic bar (more like 6 chairs in a cafe) was always breaking down. The grand theatre is badly designed if you don't get front of house you cannot see the stage . Went to see the big we will rock you show it was so dire as you looked around guest had fallen asleep. The two70 theatre was out of the arc design and you couldn't take away from the talent of the performers but what you watched was just plain weird .plenty of day activities ie rock climbing ,flow rider etc but otherwise lacking entertainment. Ship wants to be futuristic but evening shows were either mr & mrs or guest this tune (really) . 600 staff short that came from the captain . This showed in the cleanliness of the main buffet restaurant , the lifts had empty bottles and plates left in them . Ok this is a reflection of passengers on ship . Buttlins at sea is how I would describe the experience . Staff tried hard to please but they had to work longer hours and vary their jobs cause of the shortage of staff which made them tired and grumpy . It seems to appear Royal Carabbean on this ship puts profit before guest . By end of cruise I had become a serial moaner along with many other unsattisfied guest . Last year travelled on their Seranade of the Seas ship everything was 100 % . Maybe something to do with the cruise director . Delia Smith
