We had a great holiday in the eastern Mediterranean on the Jade. We initially chose the Jade because of the itinerary as we have done the Western Med several times'. There was several other cruise lines we could have picked but when booking in January the Jade was by far the best value and offered the premium drinks package and premium dining package which was fabulous value, as we do like our cocktails, beers and wine and trying out different dining each night.
The Jade is the smallest ship we have sailed on and I was expecting it to be too small but It still took us a couple of days to find our way around the ship. There are still plenty of bars and restaurants and deck areas to choose from, and the theatre is lovely.
OK the ship is older and very colourful in its decoration, but I thought this added to the fun of the ship. To me it had a cozy and friendly atmosphere and the staff were wonderful.

Split
Met some friends from home who were on holiday in Split and had a lovely lunch in a rooftop restaurant and went in a little church by the harbour. Then went on a quick tour of split town which was lovely.
Dubrovnik
Shared a taxi with a young couple into town, then walked the walls, then had lunch and drinks under a shade in the main square in the old town. Sat people watching and chilling for a while. Watched a wedding at the town hall which was really lovely.
Venice
Beautiful Venice but very hot and crowded.
