Overview

My wife and I took a seven day Alaska cruise departing from Seattle with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchickan, Victoria, and a cruise of Glacier Bay. This was our first vacation since our honeymoon without our kids and our fourth cruise. Previous cruises have been on Carnival and Disney so any comparisons are from there.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IX

To say the cabin (inside stateroom) was small is an understatement. The cabin had a queen size bed, table, chair, and stool. The table was tucked underneath a counter and the stool stacked on a chair. Even with the stool on the chair in the most out of the corner place possible there was insufficient space to actually walk around all three sides of the bed - you could walk on the sides you get in/out on but not round the corners. Having no table and chair/stool would have been better.

Also the bathroom, while not as small as it could have been had one interesting feature. The toilet is oriented in such a way that you can not actually sit on it with your legs in front of you. Instead they have to be off at an angle. Apparently this is not a unique thing as the comedian actually commented on it during one of his routines.
