Sail Date: Jun 2015

Very disappointed with this ship especially after all the, publicity of the launching. It is badly designed in the layout, at the end of the week people were still finding it difficult to negotiate the way from one end of the ship to the other. The cabins were noticeably small as we're the bathrooms, with little draw storage or comfortable sitting with only one proper chair. Impossible to see the over large t.v. Screen without lying on the bed

Staff in the two main Freestyle dining rooms were curt and not conducive to allocating you to a table for two when asked. Instead asking if you were happy to share! Food was pretty basic and limited in choice.

We were particularly offended when we were not allowed into the two Freestyle restaurants although wearing formal clothes but not wishing to dress in black tie style despite the fact that we had paid the same or perhaps more fare than others visitors. This I took to be discriminatory and offensive. Shouldn't the black tie wearers have to use the added cost restaurants.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Cabin was clean and the bed comfortable. It was too small and not comfortable to sit in. The balcony was very narrow and not comfortable for two people to sit on at the same time. It was however quite soundproof and a constant temperature. The cabin steward was exceptional. The one staff member on the whole ship who really seemed to care that you were looked after. I would give him 10 out of Ten. The on really

Redeeming feature for P&O

Port Reviews

Southampton

Interesting ports, best explored on your own, and very easy to do

Bergen

Interesting town, best explored on foot, especially the Brygen area

Stavanger

The ship docks right in the heart of the old town. A couple of minuets and you are walking among the prettiest clapboard houses overflowing with flowers. Then back down to the picturesque quay for coffee and local crafts. The petroleum museum is also nearby. Very pretty and worthwhile visiting

Flam

Very interesting and well presented rail museum . Showing how the railroad was dug though mountains by hand. And showing how the people lived in recreations of rooms.the little road train is excellent to ride around the area.its delightful buy a ticket on the quay, it's very good value .
