Traveled with children

Recently my husband and I took our two girls, aged 5 and 7, on the P&O Pacific Pearl to Vanuatu and New Caledonia. We have done plenty of self-contained short getaways and road trips but this is the first time we've taken our kids overseas since they were born, so for us it was an extravagant holiday. My mum and dad, both retirees, are BIG fans of cruising and have been on four cruises in the past two years and have three more booked within the next year, so we were thinking that they must be good and decided to try one for ourselves. On researching cruising with a young family I didn't really find very many helpful reviews, so for that reason I am posting this one. Initially I was VERY nervous about the four of us having to spend a whole 10 days together in one tiny cabin but to be honest we didn't spend that much time in there. When we did though, the kids were bouncing off the walls from all that ice cream!

I've broken this review up into Highlights and negatives...
