Our extended family of 8: Me - 59, my husband, our son 34 with wife and 3 year old daughter, our daugther 24 with boyfriend and our 17 year old son, had a wonderful week on the Allure. We had 3 balcony cabins - 2 connecting and the next one forward on port side deck 10. Near elevators and just 2 decks down to Central Park.
We did not go on any organised trips ashore. The ship has so much to offer, we did not get to do all we wanted to do.
Palma: Used the shuttle bus in to the center of the city for 5 euros return, good value. Marseilles: Stayed on the ship, enjoyed the sun deck and pools.
Cabin was ok, clean and with enough closet space for the three of us (me, DH and DS - 17). A bit thight in the evening when the sofa bed was out, but otherwise ok. As we had 3 cabins in a row we had the dividers on the balcony partly removed, and it felt so much bigger.
Bed very nice, good pillows. Only wish we could each have our own top sheet, as we are not used to share a big one, and DH tends to use more than his share :)
Our son was happy on the sofa bed, but as he is almost 6 feet tall, he was a bit too long for the bed, he didn't mind though.
Lovely city, very hot in July. Sagrada Familia is a must-see, but get tickets online before you go there, as the ticket lines tend to be very long.
Old quarter, Barra Gotica, lovely alleys and lots of nice places for tapas and wine.
Free shuttle to cruise terminal which is close to city center and boats to Cinque terre. Lovely boat ride. Easy train return from all villages.
