Two young senior couples - first cruise with Princess on the Royal, always cruised with P & O in the past.

The décor was lovely in the main areas, loved the Atrium, our balcony cabin mid ships was the same as those on P & O but lacked the tea/coffee making facilities, fortunately we took our own kettle. The main areas always seemed crowded and often couldn't get a seat on sea days probably because it wasn't warm enough to be up on deck for the majority of the cruise, although we did watch a movie up on deck one morning.

All of the staff were excellent and after request for table away from serving stations (I have a severe hearing problem and anyone using aids knows that they amplify the loudest noise) we were given a corner table near the window every night. The food on the whole was very good and well presented. Crown Grill was excellent. Did enjoy having a larger number of place to eat.
