1st time on Getaway. Huge! Actually, ships are getting so large that it's almost impossible to take in everything in one week. :-(

2 1/2 days at sea gave us a chance to explore and get the week planned. Our teenagers LOVED Entourage. Miss Ellie and her crew were fantastic. Trust me, it is so much more than just a bunch of kids sitting around playing video games. Our guys have joined us on 2 cruises now and have made multiple new friends both times. They still catch up on Xbox every week. Sports tournaments, hide and seek, glow party, pool party, scavenger hunt, etc. No one is ever sitting. Definitely recommend the I-concierge Wi Fi service on the ship. $10 per person for the week and you can text / call anytime of the day or night...... or very early morning when it is time for teenagers to turn in.

St Thomas - Kon Tiki - this has absolutely nothing to do with Thor Heyerdahl. It is a family-owned party barge with steel drum music, some history (Mama's and the Papa's), sightseeing, checking out a coral reef thru the glass bottom of the boat, and some time at the beach. Be sure to visit the little family-owned bar at the far end of the beach; "Dinghy's". Fun place and GREAT salmon. On the way back, expect Macarena, Congo line, limbo, and allot of singing. Thanks Captain Dave for an afternoon of fun.

Cabin Review

Large Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B6

Suite on SKY last year was much bigger with a separate room for the boys to change and sleep. This is the first time we have dealt with an overhead bunk. But our room steward Johnell was great. Regardless of our plans, he managed to pop in and out to take care of the room, drop and put away the bunk, AND always took note of when we asked not to be disturbed. Wonderful guy. Balcony has plenty of room for 2 chairs and 2 lounges + 2 people standing taking in the sites.
