This was our sixth cruise with carnival in the last 2 years. We've been on the freedom, fantasy, fascination, liberty, sunshine and this cruise the conquest. We had an inside 10th floor cabin and as usual the housekeeping attendants were outstanding. The ship itself was older than a few we've been on but we found it to still deliver the fun and comforts we desire for a cruise. We were able to find chairs near the pool without any issue (hard on the sunshine unless you wake up at 6am) on sea days, fellow cruisers were pleasant to be around and there was always something to do throughout each day. They offer something for every age.

FOOD

We only ate dinner in the dining room once during the eight nights, primarily because we just stayed active in with other things. The one night we did go service was quite slow, but it may have just been an off night. I will say what we ate that night wasn't that great but hey, we're on a cruise and not at work! Guys burger joint and the blue cantina burrito was excellent, just check on their hours each day. The buffet was hit or miss based on what you like to eat, but they do offer a good variety at different foods for each meal. And of course you can't go wrong with the 24 hour a day pizza pirate! Very good. The deli is also a great stop for lunch!

Cabin 4E

Very clean and comfortable. AC was nice and cool. No complaints at all on the cabin.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Sailed from hear twice. First time very smooth getting on and getting off. This last trip was smooth getting on the ship but there was a major error on the getting off. Apparently we were docked at a terminal that wasn't for our size ship and the port employees really messed up the number sequence for getting your luggage. Everything was backwards so you had to tote your huge suit cases over top of al the other luggage. In addition for over 3 thousand people they only had 3 customs workers checking people through. Other than that usually a great port!
