We are from Overland Park, KS and have traveled on Freedom of the Seas twice before in 2009 and 2011. We are a husband and wife and are 53 and 45 respectfully. We were traveling with our 24, 21, 15 and 11 year old children and my father. This is my father's first cruise.

We stayed in the Radisson pre and post cruise and found this hotel to have decreased in cleanliness since our last stay there. The pool area is still nice but the rooms and grounds need major renovations. There is a new rule regarding the pool deck and Tiki Bar area that states you can't bring your own food/beverages into these areas. This rule was only sporadically enforced while we were there which made for very frustrated guests. The manager, Andrew, and the front desk staff were friendly. The bartender and wait staff in the restaurant were very rude. We will be looking elsewhere for our next hotel stay.

Freedom of the Seas has completed a partial refurbishment from earlier this year. Here are my good and bad observations.
