We had the owners suite in the forward starboard side of the NCL EPIC on the 17th floor. The room was great if you don't count the disfunctional toilet and leaking shower. The view was amazing and the balcony was large. The butler was good and the housekeeper was good with the exception of not making up the room one day. The concierge was great although she didn't follow up on the ships bridge tour in a timely manner and caused us to miss it. Besides these three people we were very disappointed with the level of service provided. Being a second time epic guest, we had a very high expectation of the Haven, both times we were in Haven rooms. We were disappointed that we had to wait 30 minutes for drink service at the private haven lounge. We were also disappointed at our 3 hr trip to cagneys for just 2 of us. It took forever to get to our room utilizing the elevators, they should have the haven elevator open the entire time, instead of just while in port.

My mother also received disrespectful treatment in the spa. I'm not sure when flat out disrespecting the customer became alright but it shouldn't be. In addition we left a comment for the hotel director in the box at guest services 3 days before disembarking, I was disappointed that he never followed up with us. For the amount of money we paid, and the level of service we received, I was not pleased. The places we went and things we saw were amazing. The onboard entertainment was the same as it always is, and quickly becomes inadequate for returning guests. It was the same as 4 yrs ago...exactly the same. As a returning NCL customer, I hope that this failure in adequate service is a one time thing. This one time was enough to make us strongly consider another cruise line, and we will for sure never sail on the Epic again.

Great room if the toilet worked and the shower didn't leak. All the way forward and starboard. Great views, adequate balcony.
