My wife & I celebrated our 30th Anniversary on Veendam 6/27-7/4 Boston to Bermuda.

Overall it was a fantastic trip. Having read all the negative reviews regarding the Veendam we were pleasantly surprised by the outstanding service and high quality food selection. Although not having a real late night source (post 10:30) for munchies was a bummer. There is in-room 24 hour dining however the two times we tried to order food late night there was over an hour wait for service. Here's a more detailed look at our cruise.

Neptune Deluxe Verandah Suite

Cabin SA

We upgraded/upsell from Vista Gty to Neptune Suite room 033.

The cabin was fantastic! I surprised my wife with the upgrade so I was a rock star! From the size to the amazing balcony for great people watching on Front St...to all the perks, comped laundry/dry cleaning.. To the Neptune Lounge was just plain fantastic! The Room attendants Yaya & Sita were top notch, amazing service. And the staff inside the Neptune Lounge were so accommodating.

We never experienced any AC issues although several Neptune suites around us did.

There were no plumbing issues in our room, although the Promenade Deck did have a foul odor mid-week.

Port Reviews

Hamilton

Love Bermuda! We've been 5 times and love it for its beauty, cleanliness and Beaches. We've done plenty of excursions prior, and it's so easy hopping a bus for the beach.

Boston

We live just south of Boston so this made the trip very easy. Love the seaport district of Boston!
