I will start by saying that we have been on Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival several times. This was our first on Norwegian. We are a family of 55 yr old dad, 43 yr old mom, 21 yr old son and his 21 yr old girlfriend and a 15 yr old daughter. We loved leaving out of NY since it is only about an hour away. Getting on the ship was easy and we were eating lunch by 1pm. Our room steward Allan was amazing. He kept our cabin clean and always had a smile. We had the unlimited beverage package and the dining package for the 3 of us. My son and his girlfriend just had the dining package. We loved the food in La Cucina and our server Sheila was great. We also loved Teppanyaki and ate there twice. Both times our chef was entertaining and friendly. We ate at Cagneys one night and the server was rude and had a really bad attitude. What made it worse was that it took over 3 hours for dinner and we missed the Second City show that we had reservations for. Of course we could not get tickets for any other night. We had a second reservation for Cagneys but cancelled it due to the lack of service and rude staff. We also encountered another rude and obnoxious bartender at Maltings. He outright accused me of abusing the beverage package because I had ordered an Angry Orchard for myself and when my son met us at the bar he too was drinking one that he had purchased on his room key at a different bar before meeting us. When I tried to explain it to him he would not turn around and look at me but kept glaring at me through the mirror on the bar. After that encounter he had the bar server follow us to make sure that we were not getting my son drinks. We only went down there because my son smokes and that was the only place to go. What really makes me mad is that on formal night my son was wearing his dress uniform because he is a US Marine and the bartender was making snide remarks. I will never cruise on Norweigan again because of the staff. It's too bad because we loved the ship

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Loved our cabin. The balcony was huge with 2 sun chairs, 2 regular chairs and a table. We had plenty of room for 3 people. The air conditioner stopped working and the toilet wouldn't flush one day but both issues were resolved quickly thanks to Allan our cabin steward.
