Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We chose this cruise because we wanted to cruise from Venice again as we did 18years previously and loved Venice even more this time. Loved overnight on the ship as it gave us time to do more.

We were a little concerned about trying a smaller ship. It did have a more intimate feel which was good but we did miss the choice of things to do. Some of the shows in the theatre and the centrum weren't particularly our style but we were prepared for this so it was no problem.

Drinks prices are a big concern of ours with RCI. We only drink wine with very occasional cocktails. Also, because we live in Spain our wine is very reasonable but to drink the same wine at such inflated prices really is now making us think of changing to a different cruise line. Getting a little weary of being so obviously ripped off!

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Cabin at front "right" of ship. Normally choose mid to back but on this cruise we liked this cabin position. Absolutely no problem with ship motion, just a nice gentle rocking sensation. We both have good sea legs so don't know if this would be a problem for others.

Cabin seemed just a little smaller than on bigger ships but storage was very good, even better than some others which surprised me.

The balcony was smaller and the outside does look rather tired in places.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Love Barcelona! So much to see and do. The hop on hop off buses work very well.Great place for all the family. Well worthwhile extending a cruise by a few days to explore.

Florence (Livorno)

Been here many times so enjoyed a quiet day on board.

Positano (Amalfi)

Amalfi is one of our favourite destinations. Lovely atmosphere, great for shopping, strolling, people watching and sampling limoncello and ice cream!

Kotor

Amazing 2hour sail along "fyord" into Kotor! Loved it! Then return sail in evening light. Didn't sail away until 8.30 which was perfect for photographs. Kotor itself is charming. Not a great amount to do unless you enjoy challenging walks but enjoyed it.
