My husband and I just took the Carnival Inspiration on the 4th of July long weekend cruise to Ensenada.

We both have done many cruises before, on other cruise lines, as well as Carnival. Our expectations were definitely exceeded, especially considering, the VERY AFFORDABLE price point.

We arrived at the port next to the Queen Mary at about 12 noon, parked the car, checked our bags with the porter (don't forget to tip!), and boarded the ship at about 1pm. We enjoyed lunch in the buffet, a self-guided tour of the ship, and checked out our stateroom.

Ocean View

Cabin 6C

SHOWER: water pressure was FANTASTIC, and water temperature was PERFECT. Plenty of hot water, and if you're not careful, you will actually burn your skin off.

Just enough space in the room for two adults.

Room attendant serviced our room 3 times a day. 24 hour room service was awesome! Food/Drinks actually arrived within 10 minutes!!!!!

Port Reviews

Los Angeles

quick and easy embarkation and disembarkation!

parking was close to the ship. I think $18/day.

porters were helpful. (don't forget to tip them!)

Ensenada

local shuttles only $3 ROUND TRIP into the center of town.

excursions also available with the shuttle operator for half the price of the excursions on board.

TONS of shopping and bars near the shuttle stop.
