This was my 18th cruise and 2nd one to Alaska. I was blessed both time with excellent weather, both in Seattle and on the cruise.

We actually flew into Seattle on Saturday the 20th and stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites at the Space Needle. We enjoyed Seattle as there's so much you can do. We went to the port around 11 am and waited maybe 30 min before they actually started boarding. There was 8 of us with 4 balconies together which we had the doors opened between the balconies. It made for a great time seeing all the views with everyone being able to see and talk to each other. I was disappointed that the Legend didn't have a Guys Burger on it. The food was good and the entertainment was good. We saw a lot of whales and at least 3 bears from our balconies. In Juneau we had a whale watching tour and almost cancelled it because of all the whales we'd already seen. We decided to go on anyway and I'm sure glad we did. We had Dolphin Jet Boat Tours with Capt Nick Hetz, he took us to a place we was able to see 2 different bubble net feedings and it was the highlight to our whole cruise. We all had anytime dining and with a group of 8, it was difficult to get a table sometimes, but I like the flexibility to eat when I want and not be forced to eat at a specific time. Disembarkation was a breeze and we was able to be on our way by 8 am.

Cabin 8E

A typical balcony room but our room steward was GREAT.

Port Reviews

Seattle

We explored Seattle on 3 different days. Pike Market Place is a must.

Victoria

Just walked into town to buy some candy.

Skagway

Wind to too high for our Helicopter tour so we took advantage of shopping.
