We have just returned from a weeks cruise, visiting France, Italy and Spain. The cruise was great, interesting ports of call and cannot praise the staff highly enough, they are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. We had originally booked a delux outside cabin but were offered by Thomson an upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable additional fare. So glad we took the offer, the suite was spacious and beautifully looked after by our steward, it even had a walk-in wardrobe! The food served in the main restaurant was varied and delicious and it was great to sit with different people every night.
The evening entertainment was very good, we particularly enjoyed the show's in the Broadway show lounge, what a very talented group of young people. The ship is older and in some places is showing that age, however everything is kept spotless but in places you do notice that Dream is getting on a bit! The only real gripe I have is that there always seemed to be a toilet out of order in which ever ladies loo I happened to pop into. Despite a mechanical issue with the ship whilst in France, we left nearly 6 hours late, we were given extra time in the next port of call to make up for the delay. Overall we had a great time and would use Thomson Cruise's again. The experience is friendly, comfortable and fun.
Cabin was spacious and comfortable. The steward looked after us very well, plenty of clean towels and chocolates on the pillows! We were very happy with our upgrade to suite from delux outside cabin, it had sitting room, bedroom, walk in wardrobe and bathroom. The bathroom occasionally had a slightly damp smell, seems to be something ships bathrooms are prone too, however the bathroom was well cleaned every day and provided with lovely fluffy towels.
