We flew into Vancouver a day early so we wouldn't be rushed when we boarded the ship. Getting onboard was a breeze. However, getting our luggage delivered to our room was a nightmare. We noticed everyone on our hall received their bags outside their rooms except us. I asked at least three different crew members to check on it. Not one of them bothered to report back to me. We had an 8:30 dinner time at at 7:00 we still had not received our luggage. Finally, I saw an official looking crew member on the hall - wearing a full dress uniform- and inquired about our luggage. He wrote down my cabin number and left to check on it. He promptly returned with all our bags in tow with another crew member assisting. We were rushed to get showered and dressed in time for dinner. That was not how I wanted to start off my expensive cruise vacation. We paid for the unlimited pass to the Persian Garden. Robes were small in my opinion and not very soft. Persian Garden spas were nice. Really enjoyed them. Cabin was spacious with plenty of storage and nice sized veranda for outside viewing. Weather was great for outside sitting. However, we had to ask our cabin attendant several times for additional shampoo, bath soap, etc. They only put one little sample size bottle in the shower for both of us to use. We also often found left over dirty glasses and desert cups after the room had been cleaned that they failed to remove. Main dining room food was good - portions were small. Husband ordered salmon entree and received a piece the size of a sardine. Deserts were also small so we often ordered two. After all, we were on vacation and wanted to try a variety of items. Waiters often looked smug if you ordered some variation from the menu. They also often forgot items like salads, condiments, etc. The ship itself was beautiful and clean. Pools and hot tub spas were very nice and well attended. Ocean Cafe buffet was oddly laid out - very long from start to finish with breaks between stations. Not enough seating during peak dining times. Food on buffet was tasty. Room service breakfast was hit and miss. Sometimes it arrived cold. They also left off a few selected items on a couple of orders. Ship entertainment was excellent. Loved the theater shows. Beverages were delish! Lots of onboard activities that we enjoyed - wine tasting, martini bar, galley tour. Bingo was expensive!
