We are from NJ this is our 4th cruise on Royal we are in our 50's. We flew in Thurs night and stayed all the best western loyal inn . Its ok for 1 night before or after cruise . We called for a ride to the port from the hotel $10.00 per person. The port is 10 mins away from hotel. The embarkation was quick we were on board in 15 minutes. We went to Seaview cafe for lunch I had the Reuben sandwich which was great . Paul has a Cuban sandwich with fries which was aslo very good. We explored the ship for a while waiting for our cabin . WE made plans to eat dinner at Portofino's for dinner . I have notice the service is going down hill it takes a while to be waited on at all the bars . The workers are more into just hanging out.

Saturday: Its a sea day time to relax it was cold outside today .The mountains are so nice looking with the snow caps we are really enjoying the view from the balcony . The ship is in need of a update the furniture is worn .We enjoyed breakfast in the dining room the coffee is bad , I miss my K-cups. We have the drink package for soda, water, fresh orange juice and coffee. We went to the main dining room for dinner tonight . Food was very good our waiter Igor was very good he was friendly and take good care of us . Sunset was about 9:30-9:45

Sunday: We arrived in Juneau today we are taking the Harv & Marv whale watching tour at 1:30 . The weather is wonderful sunny and very warm the highs today were 80 degrees . We saw so many whales it was awesome I would recommend Harv & Marv very friendly and a nice small boat with only 6 of us on it . We went to Mendenhall Glacier for 15-20 mins after the tour for pictures, then we were let off in town to walk around and do some shopping.we walked to the St Robert's tramway The view from on top of the mountain is wonderful. Tonight we went to the welcome back party . The cruise director is John Blair and his wife Katrina who were very good .
