Sail Date: Jun 2015

Don't spend the money on the precruise pkg. We went direct to the hotels website and booked an over the water bungalow for half the paul gaugain price.

We had read that paul gaugain was rated #1 small cruise line in the world. I don't know how that could happen!! We have sailed several other cruise lines all over the world and i would place any of them head and shoulders above pg.

On our departure day several of us had arrived early (as we had to depart our hotels). We stood in the sun (not enough shade or chairs) without even water offered for several hours before being allowed to board. The ship has 3 restaurants and two of them only change their menu once during the entire 10 days. L'etolle was the best offer.

Cabin Review

Cabin Owner's Cabin

We were glad we chose to upgrade to the owner's cabin since the ship was smaller than we were used to. The cabin was adequate but could have been laid out better. Our main problem was the noise. It sat right under the bridge and was rather loud at night and whenever the anchor was being raised or lowered. If you want an owner's cabin 702 might be a better choice.
