This was our first cruise. We took our grandson. Loved the Cruise as a Norwegian. Left the fancy clothes at home. Everyone, staff and tourists, were helpful and friendly. Great food-enjoyed the variety and different "ethnic" foods. Wonderful shore excursions. Evening entertainment-outstanding-those that we didn't go to, our grandson went to. Sufficient smoking areas, and those didn't bother me as a nonsmoker. Rooms were roomier than expected, as were the bathrooms, although a couple of more inches between the knees and wall on the commode would be nice (and I'm not a big or tall guy). Plan on cruising again on Norwegian (having been a stay on the land tourist for years). Didn't use any of the pay extra dining options. Embarkation and a breeze and folks helped you at every port. Lots of activities during the day. Some you could participate in, or watch, or watch later on TV ! Fitness room had everything one needed, especially on vacation and was large enough. And what scenery-on the Jewel in Alaska!

Cabin Review

Inside

We were midship, ninth floor, inside cabin. Glad we didn't spend extra for porthole or balcony, although the outside rooms sure looked nice. The "bunk bed" for our grandson was reportedly very comfortable-and he's a good sized 14 year old football player. Rocking was only somewhat noticed by one of us three.
