Just back from our first river cruise on the Uniworld River Royale in France , sailing from Bordeaux on the Dordogne and Garonne river . Visiting many famous Chateaus and tasting wonderful French wine example: Chateau La Tour Blanche ,Chateau Beau Beau Sejour , Montbazilliac and the different sauternes accompanied with a fine lunch at Chateau D’ Arche .
The River Royale is a pretty new ship , luxurious cabins, good size and fast Wifi everywhere on the ship , very helpful staff from different nationalities and we received a perfect service till the last minute , all kind of drinks and snacks or sweets available all day long , never short of something , you just ask for it and it’s there rifgtaway.
The food was excellent all the way , fine dining , choice of meat , fish vegetarian etc. never any complains except at one noon when they served hamburgers on deck , they have been not really eatable but how do you expect a great French chef to make that kind of junk food . They had fresh deliveries in every port of call to make all our meal delicious.
Good size for a river cruise ship , nicely decorated ,nothing to complain about
